In a creative frenzy, you and John stay up all night to write "California Dreaming." So what if you have to take a few pills to do it? Anything for the art. You don't do much, but you do contribute a few phrases and you are John's muse after all, so he gives you a publishing credit on the song. This will sustain you for years to come. Soon, you take that song and move to Greenwich Village, where Denny Doherty joins your band. One night, you three are sitting around your apartment, listening to the Beatles for the first time and dropping acid. There's a knock at the door. Back to the Beginning
